We have implemented .an environmental management system that complies with global standard UNE-EN ISO 14001. This system oversees the environmental impact of all of the company's activities and is the spearhead of an ongoing activity of continuous improvement in our efforts to reduce consumption of water, energy and raw materials in our production processes and corporate facilities.

Italfarmaco has developed a strategic environmental action plan that:

• Minimizes environmental damage caused by its activities;

• Divulges the need to protect the environment to all of its stakeholders;

• Is fully compliant with national, regional and local environmental legislation;

• Establishes standard operating procedures that minimize waste; where some waste is inevitable, SOP's ensure handling that will produce the least environmental impact.

Italfarmaco Spain is also a member of the SIGRE Integrated Management System that recycles pharmaceuticals and pharmaceutical packaging.
