As shown in the organization chart, Italfarmaco Spain belongs to the Italian Pharmaceutical Group Italfarmaco S.p.A..

Italfarmaco S.p.A was founded in 1938 and operates in both the pharmaceutical and the fine chemicals industry. The Italfarmaco Group is one of the largest Italian pharmaceutical companies.

During the expansion process of the last few years Italfarmaco Spain founded its own subsidiaries in Portugal and Chile. In addition, the Spanish subsidiary acquired a 50% share in the French pharmaceutical company Effik S.A. which is specialized in the area of gynecology and has affiliated companies in Italy, Spain, Portugal and Switzerland.
